Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal disorder that affects women of reproductive age. Women with PCOS may experience irregular menstrual cycles, excessive levels of male hormones (androgens),
and polycystic ovaries, which are enlarged ovaries containing multiple small fluid-filled follicles.PCOS can cause a variety of symptoms such as weight gain, acne, excessive hair growth on the face and body (hirsutism), and infertility. The condition affects hormone levels, which can lead to difficulty ovulating and disrupted menstrual cycles. PCOS also increases the risk of long-term health conditions like type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
