You’ve heard about PrEP, but do you know how it works and how effective it is?
If your partner’s HIV status is positive or unknown, or if you sometimes skip protection, PrEP helps lower your risk of HIV when taken correctly. Talk to your clinic about starting PrEP and stay protected.
Note: If you want to work in this field, start strong. Study microbiology, pharmacology, public health, or biomedical sciences. Continue with postgraduate studies in infectious diseases, clinical pharmacology, or epidemiology. Join HIV research or prevention programs for hands-on experience. Learn data tools like SPSS, R, or Python if you plan to focus on research. Network with professionals through seminars or public health campaigns. Keep up with the latest WHO and CDC HIV guidelines.
